Eric Knowles Comments : This is an unusual pair for three reasons; firstly the pattern is one of the very first used as a printed underglaze blue subject by the Worcester factory. during the limited date-span as above; secondly. similar pieces are more often found without borders and lastly they are usually marked with either open or line-filled crescent marks
