Description
A very rare sucrier and cover painted with the so called ‘Tent’ pattern Circa 1770
This is in very good order. The painting is vivid and the gilding in excellent condition with wear only to the apexes of the flutes where it has been in contact with the cover. There has been some restoration to the finial that is visible under UV but not natural daylight. It has been broken off in the past. Square mark in underglaze blue. The pattern is believed to be derived from Meissen. Early English polychrome porcelain at it’s most vibrant.
4 3/4 inches tall and a 4 inch diameter bowl.
