Additional Information : This specific "Long Eliza" pattern was copied directly from Chinese imports. The elegant and tall Chinese ladies are remarkably elongated. In blue and white this pattern is commonly known as the "telephone box pattern" a reference to the panel above the boy's left shoulder. The blood red and black outlined panels are richly gilded.

This baluster vase would have been a central part of a garniture. However, the colours are rich and vibrant and this highly decorative "mandarin" type pattern is quite charming in it's own right.
