A Spode Porcelain Pattern 889 Tea Service
Gilded roses with puce acanthus leaves. red foliage and flowers set within a gilded band. The handles are a typical Spode loop form. Michael Berthold dates the pattern 1805-1806 and this is entirely consistent with the form and vibrant polychrome regency decoration.

Dimensions on request. No chips cracks or restoration unless specified. The teapot has a stress “star” crack on the side and the tip of the spout as been chipped and repaired. we can confirm that it is still perfectly functional and pours well. There are some scratches at the base of the slop bowl and the wear to the gilding is commensurate with age. This is a superb period set and will adorn any dining table.
