A very fine Bow pickle dish decorated with fruiting vines.  Circa 1760

The colours have remained particularly intense and this is in remarkable condition with a few very minor nibbles to the edge. 12cm by 11cm and 4cm high when on it’s base. No restoration

Bow porcelain and early phosphate porcelain containing high levels of bone ash was prone to failure in the kiln. The Bow manufactory was ultimately to fall into the same hands as it’s rival Chelsea. both were purchased by William Dewsbury of Derby.
