One of the finest Parisian bronze sculptors of his time. Pinedo captures the Romantic spirit of Napoleon. perhaps in his later days when his dreams of unifying Europe under the spirit of the Revolution had faded to dust under the weight of his own hubris. The French at the time had a divided opinion on Napoleon as a both awe inspiring genius and tyranical figure.
