Stem : Very short over a round basal knop
Foot : Conical and thickened. but not quite to ‘firing glass’ dimensions
Pontil : Snapped

Size : 8.7 cm height. 5.3 cm diameter bowl. 4.4 cm diameter foot
Condition : Excellent. no chips or cracks; bubbles throughout. two prominent mineral inclusions to the side of the bowl and two more to the foot which also has some extended bubbles and/or manufacturing creases

Notes : This diminutive glass is most unusual; we’ve only seen a very few comparable examples. which tend to have solid. less conical feet – very much a firing glass. Perhaps this was for those of a more seemly disposition. who liked the odd tipple nonetheless. but without the fire and brimstone of the post-prandial cacophony…
