Only our second example. the previous one being clear. Hollow stem roemers were produced by Ravenscroft but all known examples have ribbed bowls and ribbed feet. No English lead glass versions with a spun foot are documented in the 17th century.
This style of glass enjoyed renewed popularity at the end of the 18th century with the arrival of reduced taxes on imported wines and Hock from Germany. This is deceptively weighty. it is more than fifty percent heavier than earlier Dutch equivalents that are a little taller.
