Decoration : Mahogany with inlaid conch design to centre with polychromatic banding throughout. Four ball feet. Two compartments with banding to underside of cover.
Size : Length 22.20 cm Width 12.20 cm Height 13 cm
Condition : Very good – light wear only. The lock is however a little loose and the locking bar will shake in and out of place when unlocked. The key is still in place and will lock the box.

The conch design was a popular feature of late 18th century and early 19th century design. We have seen pieces with near identical banding listed as being from as early as 1790. We believe this to be a slightly later example and dating from the early 19th century.
