A very similar style was produced by Steuben “moss agate”. These were intended to mimic natural stone. Webb Corbett also produced a range of glass in Blue John.
Stevens and Williams also produced a similar range of “splash glass” on cased amethyst glass. The Webb and Corbett range is based on ink blue cased or on clear glass. Harold Newmann also stated that the Stevens and Williams offering had a crackled layer of soda glass sandwiched between two lead glass layers. This example does not.
This screams ancient Greece. the form and the decorative motifs.
