Additional Information : Artistic expression being given a voice via the medium of glass when under a communist regime. This was being conceived and manufactured before the spring uprising of 1968. Quite a laudable achievement. The drive towards economic reform and the need to stabilise the economy during the early 1960s lead to state support for the glass making industry and clearly freedom of expression.
