Additional Information :Kralik is widely known for its iridescent glass but is also known for creating stunning glass with combinations of styles and techniques. There were many glassworks that produced pieces with such styles as ‘mottled’. ‘spotted’ or ‘pulled trailing’ frequently and mistakenly referred to as ‘feathered’ designs. There is little documented evidence of Kralik patterns and the factory followed the standard practice of not signing it’s pieces. thus many have gone unidentified or have been incorrectly attributed. That said the company did have some distinctive characteristics and techniques. for example the specific shade of blue used in it’s trailing. Kralic ‘blue on gold’ or ‘blue swirl’ range and the non-uniform swags are good indicators. This piece also exhibits condensed ‘brush-like’ marks which pull and disburse as they ascend the glass another tell-tale. This is remarkably similar to that of the ‘helios’ and ‘coloured spots’ ranges.
We believe this to be Kralic. however. irrespective of attrubution this is a very stylish hand-blown period vase that demanded highly skilled craftsmanship and control. a testimony to quality.
