Mustard was grown in England from the 15th century onwards . This is an almost identical form to dry mustard cruets produced by both Meissen and Worcester porcelain with pierced domed lids. “Durham” or powdered mustard was brought to the Georgian dining table in a cruet. It may also have been served as a paste made by adding beer to shavings from a Tewkesbury mustard ball. Novelty antique glass that may be used and enjoyed today
