Description

Olive green Dutch or English onion shaped wine bottle with an applied string rim and a very high kick base with snapped pontil. These were manufactured by being blown into two piece moulds from the mid 17th century into the early 18th century. The rounded string rim tends to favour Dutch rather than English production.

Clean and clear with no chips. cracks or restoration. it measures 7 ¾ inches tall with a 1 1/8 inch neck opening and a 6 3/8 inch base.
