Description
A fantastic tall Georgian mixing glass with a long bucket bowl leading down to a hollow stem and a pouring section. Sits on a large conical folded foot with snapped pontil. These were used for mixing both apothecaries concoctions and those prescribed by the Doctor that invariably contained brandy. whisky and other strong spirits for “medicinal purposes”. One for the collection of medical or medicinal curios. It may still be used for mixing whisky with ginger wine and we can vouch for its integrity in this regard.
English lead. no chips cracks or restoration. it measures 8 1/8 inches tall with a 2 ¼ inch bowl and 4 inch foot.
