Features and Provenance: Edward or “Bertie” was the eldest son of Queen Victoria and as such was Prince of Wales and the heir apparent for almost 60 years. Although married in 1865 to Alexandra of Denmark. he is believed to have had at least 55 liaisons. He came to the throne in 1901 with coronation in 1902. He died in 1910, reigning for only nine years .
