Additional Information : Millefiori paperweights are sometimes difficult to identify. Factors include the clarity and quality of the casing glass. the way colours blend together. shape and style of materials used. In this case the gold aventurine and frit base narrow down the research significantly. this may have been produced by Vetreia-La-Lenice glass factory but we do not presume to be specialists in this area. however this was certainly produced on the island of Murano in the mid 20th century. a true testament to the individuality of Italian glasswork.
