Heading : Tunbridge ware stationery box with writing slope

Decoration : Central image of a stag, floral banding to border and dentil stringing. Side panels with floral banding and dentil stringing. Underside of cover is a velvet lined writing slope, box with numerous dividers for envelopes, pens, inkwell, stamps etc. Lift out tray.
Size : 26.7cm x 21.7cm, 8cm height
Condition : Very good -A split to cover from the front right to bacck right corners, though no tesserae loss. There is a small loss of veneer to the front left corner. Otherwise minor lifting and wear.
Restoration : None
Weight : 1062 grams
We have had one very similar box before and it was tentatively attributed to Waterman, and we repeat this tentative attribution.
