The champagne flute is one of only a few glass types which have retained their form the the early late 18th century to today. The propensity today is for longer stem lengths. Many georgian glasses of a similar form are ale infact glasses. engraved with hops and Barley. some however have staked vines and this may denote an intention to use for wines
