A striking Arts and Crafts claret jug with silver mount by Lutz and Weiss of Germany. The acanthus leaf handle and spout almost seem to grasp the glass body in a triffid like manner. In stark contrast the lid is topped by a delicate rococo style scallop shell finial. A typical juxtaposition of Victorian design styles.
