Neck  : Slender. tapering and finished with sterling silver mounts; hallmarked for Charles Reily & George Storer. London 1838 

Body : Gently tapering cylindrical

Base : One has a manufacturing flaw on the base arising when the piece was withdrawn from its dip mould – the other shows a ‘properly’ moulded base with a much shallower punt and eight small roundels
Glass Type  : Lead
Size : 38.0 cm tall – 24.3 cm in diameter at widest point
Condition : Excellent; superficial scratches commensurate with age; bubble inclusions and the manufacturing issue to one base as above; the original corks fitted to the stoppers are somewhat degraded. and one is held in place with a nut and bolt. rather than the original far more elegant screw-on plug that the other retains. Scattreed clinker within the glass
