Description
A matched pair of French perfume bottles in the same style. Having consulted a perfume bottle authority with one of the major auction houses she advises that they are French and were made between 1880 and 1900. These are extremely ornate. “Ormolu” work with acanthus leaves. roses and other flowers surrounding amber tinted and bevelled glass lenses revealing additional internal design. The perfume glass container is held within the body and again surrounded by further ajoure work. Screw thread caps above the small internal glass perfume bottles with crested stoppers that hold the glass dauber for application of the perfume. The pictures say a thousand words.
The pair stand 11 inches tall to the top of the stopper.
Superb condition with no chips cracks or restoration.
