The eye of Providence : The all seeing eye is symbolic of the eye of God representing his divine watchfulness and ever present care of the universe. Bordered by the equilateral triangle which is regarded as the most perfect figure that could be drawn with lines. an appropriate emblem of perfection or divinity.
The sun & the moon : The sun & moon can be said to cause all the “pairs of opposites” we humans experience on earth. This teaching is about “duality” and “opposites”; namely. that opposites are the building blocks and fabric of the material world.
Set square & compasses : When placed together. as in the logo of the Freemasons. the compasses tool and the square tool form a square and circle representing the soul (circle) encased by the body (square). There are two of the ‘three great lights’ with the set square symbolising morality while the compass symbolises boundaries reminding us to keep our desires virtuous.
The sacred pentagram : The Five-pointed Star reminds us of the five points of felicity. which are to walk with. to intercede for. to love. to assist. and to pray for our Brethren. so as to be united with them in heart and mind.
Antediluvian pillar : This is the right hand pillar marked ‘B’ which stands for the name of the pillar ‘Boaz’. ‘Bo’ (in him) & ‘Az’ (strength) thus the pillars bore testimony to the might of God.
