Heading :  A Derby Porcelain Teapot and Cover with Oval Stand
Date : c1820-25
Period : George III – George IV
Marks :Red painted Crown above crossed batons and cursive ‘D’. The teapot painted on the underside – iron red –  ‘Near Holbrook. Derbyshire’ and ‘Near Naples’; the oval stand with matching marks and titled ‘Near Mackworth. Derbyshire’.
Origin : Derby. England
Colour :Polychrome images within reserves. and profusely gilded (matching pattern to both pieces)
Pattern : Well-painted with figures placed in their respective landscapes very much in the manner of Daniel Lucas Snr

Features: The teapot and cover of silver form. and set on ball feet
Condition :Minimal glaze-crazing to both pieces; very minimal gilt loss; patches of fine kiln-spit to the underside of the cavette on the underplate. The spout restored
Restoratin: The spout has been restored with a gilded metal attachment
Dimensions : teapot 15.0cm high x 30.0cm in length; underplate 19.2 x 15.2cm
Weight : 1000 grams
