Diecast model cars and more diecast toys. Here is our current selection of high quality Diecast toys which is being constantly expanded to encompass the entire gamut of diecast toy cars, model trucks, farming implements and machinery, construction vehicles and ‘souvenir’ pieces such as replicas of coaches for state occasions. These will be joined by more idiosyncratic items released on the back of film and television ‘franchises’ such as James Bond’s iconic Aston Martin DB5, Bo and Luke Duke’s ‘General Lee’ – and slightly less gladiatorial vehicles like Noddy’s car and the Reliant Supervan, liveried for Trotter’s Independent Trading Company…
These last few pieces may perhaps be considered to be collectable diecast models rather than mere toys, but Corgi diecast toys, Oxford diecast models, the Britain’s farm and construction ranges and Lesney and Matchbox diecast vehicles were intended to be ‘played with’ – or at least, that was certainly my perception as part of the target demographic in the dim and distant 1970’s.
Of course, this meant that I would wilfully discard the packaging at the earliest opportunity, thus rendering many pieces immediately less collectable than they otherwise might have been, moreso after the ravages of a few months or years in and out of the toy box were taken in to account. The Corgi, Dinkey, Lesney and Matchbox diecast models and their counterparts were, however, singularly durable, and any number of more carefully curated examples can now be found on our shelves, having passed through the hands of less iniquitous former owners. So if you are looking for quality diecast toys, in pristine boxes and without the slightest paint-chip, bent wing-mirror, missing round bale or misplaced Big Ears co-driver, you are cordially invited to check out our listing of diecast models with immediate effect…
