A cameo vase possibly designed by Émile Gallé himself. he was not the only designer within the factory. Gallé himself was a keen artist. his glass is considered to be one of the major forces in the french Art Nouveau movement. His “Writings on Art” which was released posthumously in 1908 gives a clear insight into his design ethos.
