Condition : Some moulduing marks in the neck. this is not a crack. Inclusions with the glass. some mossing on the base. There is a stress or annealing crack in the base of the swan neck handle. this is common place in glass jugs with this type of handle.

Weight : 1440 grams

The handle was applied top down. It has a flat pointed upper terminal and a scrolled finish lower terminal. The inner hande is flat. This is typically late 18th or eary 19th century. Later handles with a cushion of claw lower terminal were applied bottom up and were proven to be stronger and less prove to cracking. This is still perfectly functional
