Additional Information : The Invalid feeder or invalid cup was a vessel used in hospitals or at home to facilitate the injured or weak. Food given to patients would have been cooked and thinned for easier consumption and then spooned into a feeder such as this. Such an item could be acquired at the local apothecary usually being made of porcelain in the Victorian this earlier sturdy glass example is a rare find.
