Bowl : Flared bucket made from rows of pincered bands of glass with applied handles.
Pontil : Snapped
Glass Type : This contains lead oxide.
Size : 11.5cm tall and 17.8cm handle to handle
Condition : One stable crack on the rim

Restoration : One handle has been professionally restored as shown
Weight : 461 grams

Additionbal Information : This intricate basket is a testament to the glassmakers of old. The Italian word traforato translated means perforated. This was most probably made in Bristol. however. the use of lead glass not exclude Liege or the Netherlands.
