Heading : An engraved and gilded 18th century baroque gin glass with colour twist stem
Period : c1740 perhaps a little earlier
Origin : Saxony
Colour : Clear. ruby twist in stem. gilded rim
Bowl : Funnel shape with everted rim. Engraved with small floral sprigs and a an engraved and gilded band of leaves and flowers
Stem : A spiral thread of glass arounf a red thread core
Foot : Conical. engraved with a a wreath
Pontil : Snapped
Glass Type : Lead free
Size :  11cm height.  6.5cm diameter bowl. 6.8cm diameter foot 
Condition : Excellent. no chips or cracks. limited losses to gilding
Restoration : None
