Description
A very nice pair of Georgian double series opaque twist wine goblets which date to c1780.
Round Funnel bowls above multiply corkscrew edged in bold white with two threads spirals around.
They stand 6 1/2 inches tall with a 2 15/16th bowl and a 3 inch foot.
We would say that based on the wear on th underside of the foot. which is inside the rim edge. that the glasses have had their feet restored at some point in the long past…but certainly not recently.
English lead. no chips cracks or restoration.
On the final two pictures. you can see the pair of goblets at the back which give you some idea of their excellent proportions
