SOLD – Six Rare Georgian Amethyst Wine Glasses c1820

Description

Certainly one of the finest regency sets of wine glasses we have offered in many years in a deep amethyst hue dating to c1820.

They have conical bowls with large hollow shoulder ball knops above capstan stems. Conical feet with polished pontils. English lead. one has had a slight polish to the foot and one has a very small nibble to the foot. No other chips cracks or restoration. They measure 5 ¾ inches tall with 2 13/16 inch bowls and 2 13/16 inch feet.
