Emperor Hadrian ruled for 21 years and travelled extensively throughout the Roman Empire. However he is probably best known for ordering the building of a wall as a northern border to Britannia to hinder the celtic tribes from stealing south of the wall. The Antonine wall was later built further North between the Clyde and the Forth.
