Heading : Brass bound writing slope from the mid 19th century

Decoration : Brass bound with vacant brass cartouche. Inteiror lined with black leather – two inkwells included – pen tray and cavity below the slope which lifts up. There is a prop to hold the slope ajar and a book rest, stored internally, such that it may be used as a readomg slope. Full width tray released by removing a pin.
Size : 45.5cm x 24cm, 16.6cm height
Condition : Knocks and scratches throughout though none of any structural significance.
Restoration : Inkwells replacements
