Additional Information : Established by John Robert Lucas in 1788 the Nailsea glassworks was operational in Somerset. England until 1873. This type of decoration is invariably described as being Nailsea or Nailsea type. not all were manufactured at Nailsea. This has an equal probability of being manufactured in Alloa .This example is unusual in form as they are normally ovoid in shape.
