Origin : Tunbridge Wells – attributed to Henry Hollamby
Decoration : Mosaics to each end panel – one featuring a stag and hind and the other a hawk; both finished with a five-square geometric band to their curved edges
Size : 16.5 cm wide x 33.0 cm long (closed) and 56.0 cm long (fully extended)
Condition : Excellent – no tile loss to the mosaics. though both have expansion cracks and lateral splits to the satinwood in to which they are set
Restoration : None
Weight : 432 grams
Notes : Exactly the same pair of images were used on a reading stand made by Hollamby. as shown in Tunbridge Ware And Related European Decorative Woodwares (Brian Austen; 2001); page 106
