Neck : Three applied annulated collars beneath a broad. flaring lip
Body : Prussian form; petal cut to the shoulder. star. linear and strawberry cuts to the body with small laurel leaf accents. narrow finger-flutes cut around the base
Base : Polished
Glass Type : Lead
Size : 24.20cm tall and approximately 11.9 cm in diameter
Condition : Excellent; replacement stopper as above; two sooty inclusions inside the base of the lip and one or two bubbles in the body
Restoration : None
Weight : 1021 grams
Notes : The ‘pillar. arch and star’ features of the cutting are identified by Phelps Warren as indicative of similar pieces having been made by Penrose in Waterford (Irish Glass – page 214)
